Bio

Professor Falk Uebernickel is an expert in technology leadership and digital transformation, with a strong focus on sustainable living, CO2-free innovation, and Design Thinking. As Co-Head of the HPI d-school and Professor for Design Thinking and Innovation Research at the Hasso Plattner Institute (University of Potsdam), he inspires and guides the next generation of innovators. He also holds a professorship at the University of St.Gallen's School of Management.

Uebernickel’s research primarily explores how individuals can lead more sustainable lives, how incumbent firms navigate the transition to CO2-free production, and the application of Design Thinking in various organizational contexts. He is also deeply involved in studying the digital transformation within the industrial sectors of Germany and Switzerland. Beyond academia, Uebernickel dedicates significant time to executive teaching and coaching, helping leaders drive impactful change. He is the co-author of several best-selling books and over 200 scientific publications.
