The Program and Research Administrator will play key roles in the research management for MHACH and MIT Luma.
The MIT Morningside Academy for Design (MAD), Schwarzman College of Computing (SCC), the Hasso Plattner Foundation (HPF), and the Hasso-Plattner Institut fur Digital Engineering gGmbH (HPI) are engaged in a research collaboration focused on Artificial Intelligence and Creativity, MHACH.
We are looking for someone to be the administrative and operational lead for the research workstream, the MHACH Research and Program Administrator. This individual will also be the point person for the administration and management of the Designing Sustainability grant funded by HPF which is winding down.
For the MIT LUMA Lab, the individual coordinates the program administration across the MIT LUMA Lab’s five interconnected pillars: Research, Innovation, Curatorial, Pedagogic, and Community Empowerment. The MIT LUMA Lab responsibilities represent 30% of the person’s effort.
The Administrator works closely with faculty co-directors, principal investigators (PIs), pillar leads, students, MIT administrative offices, and external partners to ensure operational coherence, compliance, and impact across all activities.
